Continuous stamped concrete edging — the permanent, beautiful solution for your landscape borders.
Kwik Kerb is a household name in most of North America. It has been offered by operators in the US and Canada for over 25 years, through a process that is continually improved and has been proven to resist the elements better than almost any alternative out there.
Kwik Kerb is formed from a low-slump, concentrated concrete mix by an extruding machine. The extrusion process adds strength by machine-compacting the concrete and forcing it through a form. This packs the concrete more tightly than gravity alone is capable of, creating a durable product that will stand the test of time.
Our experienced operators install your concrete curb above the frost-line, so that multiple temperature levels will not affect the concrete's expansion and contraction rates. This eliminates the chance of weather damage in Canada's wide-ranging climate.
We add control joints every 3 linear feet — or less, depending on the shape and profile — to ensure that ground movements and extreme temperature changes do not adversely affect the curb. Kwik Kerb's mix has been specially formulated to handle whatever the weather throws its way.
We use a 1/2"-3/4" slump mix, which reduces the amount of water in the formed concrete, adding strength and density. Our curbing is also treated with a highly concentrated concrete mixture that becomes extremely hard, making it resistant to scratching, chipping, flaking and weathering.
Gravel driveways are a mainstay in Canada, where property sizes often make it uneconomical to install asphalt paving. Kwik Kerb offers an elegant solution designed to stand the test of time, keep a gravel lane looking fresh-installed years later, and do it all without breaking the bank.
Our rebar-track stamped curbing for this type of installation is pennies on the dollar compared to paving — often 1/5 or less than the cost of paving, and less than 10% the cost of concrete or paving stones.
Kwik Kerb is a hands-off product. You don't have to dig it in again every spring, or shuffle it around. It just sits there, looking beautiful, from the day it's installed.
We recommend applying a standard concrete sealer annually to keep the finish pristine. Concrete sealer accentuates the colour, modeling, and stamping while acting as an important weather barrier. We offer follow-up sealing services, or you can take care of sealing yourself.
